Privacy Policy

This policy explains what EggTally collects, why, and the choices you have. EggTally is operated as a sole proprietorship; you can reach the operator at eggtally.app@gmail.com.

What we collect

• Account info — when you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile photo.
• Your planning data — the debts, budgets, and payments you enter. For free users this stays in your browser; for Pro users it is synced to our database so you can use it across devices.
• Basic technical data — standard logs needed to run and secure the service.

Payments

We do not collect or store your card details. Payments are handled by our merchant of record, Lemon Squeezy, under their own privacy policy.

How we use your data

Only to provide the service: to authenticate you, sync and back up your data, and keep the app working and secure. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

Where it is stored

Pro data is stored in a Postgres database (Neon) and the app is hosted on Vercel. Your data is processed and stored in the United States. Free-tier data lives only in your browser’s local storage.

Retention & deletion

We keep your synced data while your account is active. If your Pro subscription ends, we retain it for 6 months so you can pick up where you left off if you return, then delete it. You can export or permanently delete your synced planning data any time from your account. To delete your account entirely — including your sign-in info — email us. Billing records are kept only as long as tax and accounting rules require.

Who helps us operate

We rely on Google (sign-in), Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), and Lemon Squeezy (payments) to run EggTally. Each processes data on our behalf under its own terms.

Your rights

You can access and export your data, and delete your synced planning data, from your account — or request full account deletion by emailing us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as GDPR or CCPA.

Cookies

We use only essential cookies needed for sign-in and sessions — no third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

Children

EggTally is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We will update this policy as needed; the effective date above reflects the latest version.
